OE Magazine:- "The Munro has a very sound pedigree, having become the jacket of choice for a number of mountain rescue teams in the UK. It's not that light as it's packed full of features, one of which is a dual protection system. Combine this with a highly wickable liner to improve breathability and you have a jacket that can be used pretty much year round unless you're in especially warm conditions. There are all the essential features you'd expect on any serious bit of mountain wear. The Munro also has a really nice fit, feels just 'right' when you're wearing it and makes an excellent option if you're after one really well specced jacket for year-round use."
Adventure Travel Magazine:- "Keela's System Dual Protection works differently to other waterproof breathable fabrics and has great wicking properties and dries amazingly fast. You get every feature you could want from a wired brim on the hood to a snowskirt. It is a little heavy but that gives it great thermal properties too. We'd be happy taking it anywhere.
In a line: Great performance for altitude trekking."
"This is a well thought out and executed principle and design that copes easily with a wide range of conditions. Even in summer rain, the integral warmth of the jacket can be offset by ventilation. In colder conditions, the jacket works exceptionally well over a base layer alone or with an insulating layer as well. Packed with features, it proved to be a versatile high performer.
Likes: Performance, versatility, durability, range of features.
Dislikes: None."
Nepal Himalayan Expedition:- ''The team wore the Munro Jacket as an outer layer with the versatile Summit Top as a base layer and the Belay Jacket as a mid layer. The team also wore Munro Bib Pants (Salopettes). The pockets on the Munro Jacket provided good storage for chocolate, spare gloves, maps and other essential equipment. The Keela system was exceptionally warm and comfortable, keeping us well protected from the early morning sub zero temperatures of -15C and the wind chill effect making the temperatures tumble to nearly -30C at sunrise and on approaching the summit. We were all really warm and comfortable with this arrangement with no symptoms of overheating or inner perspiration. On our approach toward Mera Base Camp we were warned by other groups returning from their summit attempt that it was the extreme cold which was the greatest challenge. I can only say that my team, thanks to Keela had no such experience.''
